The view of the sea will never cease to fascinate and inspire me. The range of colours, the surf, the tide, the sky above, all influenced by the wind and the weather – it is never the same.

Translating these beautiful figurative images of the sea and sky into a geometrical weave required me to look at images in a different way. My loom restricts me in the number of blocks I can weave and unlike a painter, I cannot mix colours until I have the perfect blue, green, grey or white. I need to work with the yarn colours that are available.
